For one, you can’t transport some vaccinations without refrigeration for great distances. Second, you can’t store perishable foods which means that disease can be transmitted this way. And third (and not likely to be solved without electricity), is that high volume food production is not possible without refrigeration. Nonetheless, this is the kind of technology that has huge global development ramifications.
